Well… Printers do work with the Razor-Blade model. But I don’t see how can be compared with a Video Game Console: I don’t know anyone who buy a printer for the ink cartridges.

Hey, Scott, good to hear from you after so long. And don’t take just my word for it — there are plenty of reviews that say if you’re patient with all the build-up time, the game pays off with a great battle system. I’ll have to see if I make it that far.

And Seg, that’s awfully cynical. Back when the free printer I got with my Mac was still working, I only had to pay $70 twice a year to replace the ink cartridges.

That makes me sad. I had heard things about the game but as I am trying to take a year off of games I haven’t had a chance to play it yet. The RPG series that has really been keeping my interest over all these years has to be the “Tales of…” series. Which each one is ostensibly the same as the previous they tweak little things and it is still fun. It will be interesting to see where Square takes the series after this. I really would like to see some new things and definitely better characters.

On the subject of printer costs, the printer costs are dirt cheap as they are subsidized by the proprietary ink carts you are now locked into.

The printer is a subsided console platform, funded by ink carts (individual video game titles).
