It's got kind of a weird interface as a result of trying too hard to be user-friendly (you can't enter numbers for resizing images, for example), but it's free and it has no problem taking screenshots of the DVD player, at least at the moment. Re-reading this post is making me rethink: a) my no-edits-after-24-hours policy, and 2) publishing stream-of-consciousness ramblings from 11:30 PM onto the internet. English <em>is</em> my first language, I swear. If you’re still having trouble getting web-ready screenshots from DVDs, I found Skitch works pretty well. And the format's free for the taking; it's a pretty useful way to write about movies. I am unhappy with Apple for making it difficult to get stills from DVDs, though, that's for sure.
