Oh hey, I just realised this was a blogpost. Lemme expand my views.

I've been thinking about the movie. I agree with all your points, but I'm not sure about either Dog or the bird. Dug was kind of...bland. I guess he made people around me laugh but I dunno, I kept on thinking that they missed a really good joke here and there, with the occasional good line ("My name is Dug. I have just met you, and I love you"). The bird seemed straight out of a cartoon, and I'm not sure if he fit in.

I did, however, love most of it. A particular highlight, for me, was the main villain (so to speak) transitioning from nice host to bad guy. It WAS kind of fast but his dialogue wasn't half-bad, and the way the lighting changed to change how you saw him was just eerie.

...Is it? I thought it felt too much like a cartoon. I loved both, but Wall-E was a much better film.

Yeah, pretty amazing, wasn't it? I'm wondering if the colors are brighter in the 2-d version, but I figured I could see it in 2-d any time I wanted so I saw the 3-d one. I still like the look of The Incredibles more than anything else, but that was Pixar's best movie, no doubt about it.
