Thanks Chuck. I will by a 360 based on your recommendation. Even though I can't afford it now.

I can't think of any single game that'd be worth getting a console for. But there's definitely no shortage of great games available for the 360. (I couldn't rationalize getting a PS3 unless you really want a Blu-Ray player).

I mentioned that Fable 2 reminds me of Oblivion, but whether it will work for you depends on why you liked Oblivion. The worlds look and feel similar, but they're very different games: Fable 2 feels smaller but more focused, while Oblivion had a ton of content that all seemed somewhat shallow to me. Also, Fable 2 is a lot lighter and funnier.

If the open-endedness of Oblivion is what kept your attention, you might be better off checking out Fallout 3. I haven't been impressed with that game so far, though, and I'm not compelled to play it over Fable 2. Fable 2 just has better writing and a more pleasant environment.

Worth getting a 360 for? I still don't have a PS3 or a 360, and I'm still on the fence as to WHY.

I loved Oblivion; perhaps my favorite game for the PC in the last 3 years, and I really want another game like it.
