Don't you guys understand that you're part of the problem?!?!?

I still say they did everything right and the only reason people can't see that is because society and the internet have turned us all into soulless cranks.

I was entertained as well...on the edge of my seat even. But there isn't a moment in that movie that I didn't want the entire cast to get smashed to bits, even if it meant a shorter movie. How many times can you hear "OMG! OMG! ROB! ROBBBB! I could have cared less about them. I'll go you one further...as much as I want Tom Cruise to implode from his own ego, his character in WotW was *way* more engaging.

I'll by the roller coaster or theme park analogy. However, I even for a monster movie where you are begging to see more of the monster, I found it hard to swallow that it was right on top (literally) of the main characters *three* times! While I'm riding my picky horse, I'll going to call that sequence when it jumps out of the dust cloud to knock out their chopper...BOOLSHIT! It can't be a piece of debris that hits the chopper? No, apparently Smashy McSmashin's can smell heroes escaping by air.

Rant off. Again, I enjoyed myself...I just felt that with a touch more creativity, and a full half hour devoted to writing the script might have made it...dare I say, perfect.

I was torn. Though I was very engrossed and entertained, I still left feeling like my chain had been yanked. It was a cool idea with a bad ending, but then again I cant think of what would have been a good ending...everything that involves seeing more of the monster seems like a bad move.

Also...HATED the casting. It was like they just opened an Abercrombie catalogue and said 'these 5 will do, call em up!'. It wasn't that they were terrible actors or unlikeable, they were just bland. I found myself neither caring if they lived or rooting for their grizzly deaths (ala Starship Troopers).

and I'll say it again. You should get teh Blogger's equivalent of a cable ace award for your 'Candid Gamera' headline.
