Zero Punctuation
The best commentary being made about videogames today is from a guy named “Yahtzee” Croshaw, who started with videos on YouTube and is now doing them for the online magazine The Escapist.
I don’t know the guy, but after seeing his review of BioShock I want to be his best friend.
And below is the one on Fable, just because it’s pretty funny and can be embedded in a blog:

Before Zero Punctuation, Yahtzee was mostly known for his series of homebrew adventure games (possibly most notably, the 4-game series starting with 5 Days A Stranger and ending with 6 Days A Sacrifice) — http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/games.htm .
He was also a columnist for Adventure Gamers and a few other sites for a while.

Oh yeah, I didn’t mean to make it sound as if the guy suddenly materialized when he started the video reviews. I saw the page for his adventure games but haven’t played them because I try to stay out of windows whenever possible. Are they any good?
What I like best about the video reviews is that they’re hilarious AND I mostly agree with them! The Old Man Murray site was funny as hell, but most of the time I was laughing in spite of the point they were making. To have somebody cutting through the BS around games AND being funny AND concise is just too cool.
