I did wonder for a while if they were trying to pass off Albert Finney as Brian Cox. But I got distracted when I realized that he was playing 2 different ages -- the old version, and the really really old version. I kept thinking "wow, Albert Finney got old" until I realized he was acting.

And the control room stuff didn't bug me that much because I thought it worked at the "isn't it creepy how much the gov't can spy on you" level. But that may just be because the last time I saw a movie with the super control room was "Enemy of the State," and this was 1000 times better than that.

I think it just really wore out the 'room of guys loudly typing at computers' cliche for me. It's just a lazy plot device. Story not very interesting? Hard to follow? Worry not cause this room of guys with headsets will narrate it for you:
-Sir, we have a situation!
-Sir, he is talking to this guy, here is a photo!
-Sir, he is going into the building!
-Sir, Bourne just popped up on teh grid in Spain!
-Sir, thats Albert Finney not Brian Cox! Easily confused lol!

Also was it me or did no one, at any time during the film, ever, make a facial expression?

I think I’m the only person on earth that hated this movie.

Nah, there's the Washington Post guy, who thought why does it have to jump around so much and be so confusing and making with the noise and the rock music and why can't they make the nice movies like they used to.

So you're in good company.

The first two were incredibly forgettable for me. There was no character arch to speak of, and the story was fairly uninteresting.

I've heard some people at work praise the new one, while another co-worker said you could skip the first two, because this movie is basically a 're-cap'. Perhaps he is referring to the theme rather than the actual plot. He also said it took all the elements of the first two and turned them up to ten...even if they were bad elements.

I really wanted to like the first two, and hearing what I've heard from many sources I respect, I should probably stay away, and consider it 'flixed'.
