I've got every issue of the <i>Sandman</i>, and have like pretty much every comic book I've read that Gaiman's written (even that issue of <i>Spawn</i>), <em>and</em> I think he's one of the friendliest and cleverest people writing today. I recommend reading American Gods first. That book is absolutely mind-blowing. Neverwhere is just as good.

I’ve got copies of all of them, just need to get cracking. I did read Neverwhere, and didn’t like it much at all. I’ve got every issue of the Sandman, and have like pretty much every comic book I’ve read that Gaiman’s written (even that issue of Spawn), and I think he’s one of the friendliest and cleverest people writing today. That book is absolutely mind-blowing. Neverwhere is just as good. Stardust and Anansi Boys very nice too, but my favorite will always be American Gods.
