I’m not sure if you are aware of this, but if you cancel your account, you characters will not be deleted.

You know, I was vaguely aware of it, but too dense to take advantage of it. Looks like I’ve got to get my cancelin’ on.

I've un-subscribed and re-subscribed many-a-time. Most mmo's keep your toons even though you don't pay. They want the business. But, I'm kinda feeling the same as you are. There is no real draw for me to play now. I got the expansion on launch, and I've barely even touched it since.
