They show us she was in on his not being dead the whole time, and it's tossed off like nothing. It needed to be bigger than that. And their reunion was completely anti-climatic because we know that she knows he's still alive. They missed a big opportunity for some kind of emotional payoff. That’s my point. The fake one drops, the real one's left, they kiss for a long time, and it cuts to commercial. Plus they showed a bunch of stuff with them in bed playing with the baby. So to speak. And Sydney was in on it the whole time; there's that scene in a plane where she's telling Jack that Vaughn has to be notified of something-or-other, and he says, "I'll take care of it." Or, alternatively, the scene where we realize that she's been in on the whole fake Vaughn death all along and that's a big reveal? Because I don't remember seeing either of those scenarios, and that pissed me the hell off. They just kind of slid it in that he was still alive, and that Sydney knew, and BORING! Sure, it's super hoaky to have the big reveal or the tearful reunion, but when you set up the dude dying, and then spend half a season showing Sydney all sad and shit about it YOU NEED SOME KIND OF GODDAMN PAYOFF! So that's what soured me on the whole season. And the only thing I liked about the finale was having Sloane spend eternity paralyzed in a cave.
