That sounds unbelievably painful! My deepest sympathy. Since we had the kid we've had much more of those things than either of us would have liked. I ended up at the hospital with an IV for food poisoning too. That was no picnic.

Hey, let me know if Ruby and I can bring you anything. We have the afternoons off and I can shop for (not cook) a mean bowl of chicken soup. Ruby also has a vareity of viruses on tap that you probably haven't even tried yet.

I believe you caught what I caught a month ago. It went through our office like wild fire. I almost never get sick and this thing put me down for three days with a 102 degree fever and a stomach so sensitive that I couldn't keep medicine down.

I later mentioned this to my daughter's pediatrician and the pediatrician said that she had seen several patients with this stomach bug over the last couple months.

I hope you feel better soon.

Dude. I'm so sorry! That's awful.

What was it? Food poisoning? Flu?

I'm prone to the stomach ailments myself, but I don't think it's ever been that bad. I did have to go to the hospital after one bout because of the pain, but it turned out that the cramps were just caused by dehydration. No matter how much liquid I was drinking, it just wasn't staying in, so they gave me an IV to remedy it. And it did help. Still couldn't eat for almost a week after that, though.

Baby steps. Don't go wolfing down any huge plates of Japanese curry in the next few days. I hope you're feeling better soon!
