A lot of the time I can’t tell if the actor that plays Sawyer is just a bad actor, or it’s just that his character is written badly. Sometimes the dialogue he has to speak is just, yeeash, but then I wonder if a better actor would be able to pull it off. I dunno.

I think Kate is extemely cute and pretty, but I just don’t think she’s hot. Like Angelina Jolie or someone who just exudes sex. She’s cute and all…but I don’t think she’s sexy.

He’s kinda gross, and his character’s kinda predictable. It’s like he’s annoying, but I can tell that he’s supposed to be annoying, and that annoys me, and then I can tell that he’s supposed to be charming too, but I don’t think he is, and that annoys me.

Kate, on the other hand, is preternaturally hot. I wish she’d stop doing the thing where she looks like the Madonna (the classical art version, not the pop superstar version), but other than that, yowza. And also: Sayeed is hot; I wish he were more interesting.

I find Sawyer kind of annoying at times, too. But I also find him strangely attractive, which makes it even worse.

Well at the rate I’m going, there won’t be any left to watch on the plane. I’m already up to disc five, thanks to insomnia and a couple of all-nighters. I hope I can get caught up before they start running new episodes again; until then I’m going to have to dig through the TiVo to see how much of season 2 I have.

Charlie and Claire don’t bug me, although when I first saw the pilot I thought Charlie was the character who’d be most annoying. Turns out for me it’s Sawyer. Or Boone. Would’ve been Shannon, too, except there’s that episode where she sings “Beyond the Sea” at the end.

….anything “Charlie” being a weak one. Why do I hate him so much? Maybe I just like to channel all the petty things I find weak about the show (of which there are only a few) into one character and make him scapegoat central. But of course that could be Claire too.

The plane flashbacks are not as frequent later in the the season, but they do pop in now and then. If you tell me which episodes you think you’d be watching on the plane, I could tell you whether or not there’s plane footage in them…

And while I DO think the series is great, I agree it has its weak moments. The Charlie-moth episode being one of them…
