And let me tell you, as much as I'd want it to be inspiring, and something to aspire to, it's almost soul-crushingly oppressive. It's a great piece of work, no doubt, but it really makes you take stock, and wonder, what the fuck am *I* doing this for? And, to that end, I wrote more than 5,000 words today. I'm doing it simply because I can. And I don't mean that in the why did the idiot leave his newborn child and wife to climb Everest and die sort of way, I mean it more in the sense that my life is pretty good, I've got some free time. I don't have to work all the time simply to sustain my life. I have the freedom to be creative, even if I suck at it.
