		<description>Well, I hate Spielberg as much as the next guy (who is, apparently, you) and for much the same reason. (Although I don't hate any of his genre films as much as I hate both "Schindler's" and "Ryan.") But I have to admit that for some unfathomable reasons, I really liked both "AI" and "Majority Report." "Majority" I still can't really explain liking (although it may all come down to the scene where Tom Cruise is chaising his own eyeballs down a dirty hallway) but I suspect that my appreciation of "AI" has a lot to do with the involvement of Stanley Kubrick (another director I actually don't like all that much.) I think there must have been something about the combination of the two--Kubrick's lack of compassion for his characters mixed with Spielberg's cloying sentimentality--that evened it all out.

Although, it really should have ended about 15 minues sooner than it did.</description>
